Cathy stands shakidly up on her paws. She hated what she was, all the pain and for what, to turn into a animal. She looks at the ground around her seeing what was left of her cloths had been torn to shreds. She hadn't known she had been annoyed enough to trigger her change. She looks at her harp laying nearby, at least it hadn't been damaged besides a few small scratchs in the wood from where she had dropped it. Looking at herself she studies her long white fur and what seemed to her to be oversized paws. The pain left from the change was starting to fade and she hoped it wouldn't come back anytime soon, though rethinking that thought she really didn't want to stay as a wolf for very long either.

Derek ran outside. "Hey, I dont' think I got you name.", he said, whispering as he walked through the forest. "I know you can hear me, and I need to talk to you, now.", he said, stopping. He was stressed and well, he himself knew what would happen. "I dont' want to Change, please, come find me, Im' stressed as it is.", Derek pleaded.

Cathy ears perk up as she hears the boy from earlier. She slowly starts walking to where she heard him being quiet. She knew she couldn't talk the way she was but she knew how painful the change was and figured if showing up would keep him from changing it was better then sitting around waiting for then pain of changing back herself again. She reachs the crest (top) of a hill and spots him down below. She didn't want to scare him by popping up out of nowhere as a wolf so she sits down waiting for him to spot her. She knew it wouldn't be long before he did because her white fur seemed to glow softly in the moonlight and starlight

It didnt' require the color of her fur. Inchanting as he thought it was, he belonged to Rift and shoved those thoughts away. He stood up. He wanted to raise his hand for her to approch him. Derek knew the dangers of the forest, the hunters from way south who drove up here on the weekends. Derek had few encounters, but each one was disgraceful. He walked to her, footsteps silent as can be.

"I never did catch your name.", he said, sweat rolling from his hair and face, pounding the ground. "We have to talk, quickly, and dont' worry, I know you can't speak, it's just how it works, I'll understand because we are similar.", Derek said. "Now, we're leaving when I transform, the Mansion is no longer safe for anyone, I have Rift and Jason back there to make sure everyone knows.", Derek said, straining to not crouch and give in. But in the end, he did.

"Look away.", he whimpered out as he literately ripped his clothing off. His muscles seemed to move, stretch and beat like a heart. His joints and bones, cracked as they moved. His face full of dark black hair receeded as his face narrowed into a snout. His body hair, well, what he didn't have, extended from his body, black as the night that surrounded them. After a final whimper, Derek, now a large, black wolf, looked at Cathy.

The growled out, We must go, now, find a place where we cant' be found. His growl meant he was serious, as he was gingerly walking past her.

'But where could we go? Anywhere people would notice a group of kids suddenly moving into town. Especialy weird ones like us" Cathy wimpers her ears laying back on her head in uncertainty.

Don't fret over that now, we can't return to the mansion, we'll have to flee to the nerest pack of werewolves, and they wont' kill us since we're young, I've done my research, Derek growled out.

'But what's so wrong with the mansion?' Cathy asks trotting to where her backpack and harp had dropped when she had changed

Derek couldnt' sigh. He wanted to, but couldn't. Look, we're different than regular downworlders, we are altered by science of the others, they changed our DNA to make us stronger, Derek growled out. He kept moving gingerly.

'They can't have done that to me. I havn't even been here a day yet' Cathy says slipping her head though the strap of her backpack

I said DNA, your parents never told you what you were, and you dont' remember the lab, so that means you wouldn't remember everything they did......even I refuse to find those memories, Derek breathed out.

'But where are we supposed to go. We're to young to be on our own and people are going to notice. We don't even know any other werewolves or where to find any' Cathy says before tucking her harp into her backpack. The task was a bit hard without hands but she manages to

I told you, there's a pack in this city, recently arrived, I smelled them when I was out with Rift and Jason, you remember Jason, how he tried to talk to you and you acted as he wasnt' there, Derek seemed to glare at her, but couldn't. I dont' blame you, he's a baby sometimes, but he's my brother no matter what!, Derek growled out as he leaped over a stump.

'Er sorry. I just don't notice most people' says Cathy walking around the stump instead of jumping over it

I understand, but he didn't. I'm sure you'll have urges to mate eventually., Derek said, his brain on his worry about Rift and Jason aas he started walking Gingerly.

Cathy didn't know what else to say so she kept quiet as she walked. Her thoughts drifting to her parents she starts to wonder why they had kept hidden from her what she was. It wouldv'e made things alot easier if they had just told her she thinks

Derek stopped. He looked at her, his green eyes telling her if she had anything to say, it was now. Look, if you have anything to say, now is the time, Derek said.

'I was just thinking of my parents' Cathy says with sadness touching her voice as she stops next to Derek. She wasn't looking ahead or even to the side. She was just looking at the ground beneath her paws

Yeah, I keep thinking about mine. But then I think of you, and I feel a kinship to help you, because I want, not because I must, Derek growled out. He fell to his side. I need to rest, he breathed out.

'Alright' Cathy says folding her legr beneath her and laying down

Derek looked up into the trees, keeping his ears ready.

Trying to be quiet and patient Cathy lays her head down and listens to the nighttime sounds with her sharp ears. Without meaning to shortly afterwards she her breathing evens out and she steadily falls asleep

Derek listened to her. Hmm, she fell asleep, he thought. He gingerly stood up, and walked into the nearby bushes where the Change attacked him. It didnt' take so long, but the pain was still strong. Without vomit, he howled out as bones cracked and moved, fur receeded, his face returning to normal. What was left was a naked, sweaty boy hiding himself in the bushes. He looked down at Cathy, his head emerging from the bushes.

The noise he made woke Cathy up. She stands up and strechs and yawns. When he pokes his head out of the bushs he startles her and she let's out a surprised yip and jumps back

"Sorry, I was wondering, do you have anything in there I can wear on the lower half of my body?", he asked her.

Cathy didn't appreciate being startled and lays her ears flat on her head growling at him a bit before turning and walking the way they had been headed her tail and nose in the air signaling he was on his own. She was going to feel sorry for him either later because she noticed poison ivy vines growing entangled with the bushs he was hiding in
