Ruki was all sorts of confused as she sat there, next to the front door. She'd been scared out of her wits, then some glorious looking boy'd caught her. He insulted her...then kissed her forehead and walked away. Now she was sitting there, staring off the direction he and his sister had wandered utterly speechless. Don' fall for that load of bull...

Kohaku walked out the doors and past Ruki. He did not even looking at her. He seemed to not notice her. The place was full of boredom. 'Hmm.... There is no point of being here so why stay?' he thinks to himself.

Ruki glanced up at the boy who walked outside. She stood up glancing around, then back to the door. She figured he probably wasn't supposed to leave, so she went out the door after him.

Kohaku stopped, the fluff on his right shoulder continuing to flow as if it were part of the wind itself. "Why do you follow?" He asked. "Is there something you need me to do for you?"

((He still has some of the will to help others.))

"Um...." Ruki started shyly. "It's just...I'm not sure you're supposed to leave and stuff..."

"Hmph! It's not like there is any point of staying. There is nothing happening." Kohaku said, barely looking at her. "It was not my choice to come here. It's not like I even want to be here in the first place."

"But that's all the more reason that you wouldn't be allowed to leave," Ruki tried reasoning, taking a slight step forward.

"Hmph... Fine, I'll stay." Kohaku says, turning around to walk back to the school.

[school? lol]

"Well, you were sent here for a reason...so I'm sure there's something here for you," Ruki said quietly, following him back inside.

Kohaku sighed. "why is it that you worry about me?" Kohaku asked. He stopped at the front of the large building.

"Um..." Ruki started, pausing a few steps behind Kohaku. "I don't know, I just don't like seeing people get in trouble..."

"Hmmph. You're the first to actually to be concerned about me." Kohaku says. "It's not like anyone has ever wanted me, anyway. Everyone hates me."

"I'm sure not everyone hates you, but I mean...not everybody can love somebody, right?" Ruki started, the voice in her head hissing at her. He's just trying to appeal to you, don't fall for it!

Kohaku sighed. He stopped for a second. "I've heard that word so many times before, said to each other... never to me. I have never felt love before. I don't know what it is." Kohaku says. "I don't know what it means to love someone or what it feels to be loved. The only thing I have ever been given was hate." He starts walking again. 'Who is this girl? Why does she stay by me for so long? NO ONE has ever wanted to stay by me before. Maybe it's... that she feels she has to stay by me?' He thinks to himself. "Listen... You don't need to stay by me. I can handle myself. Feel free to just leave me. I never needed anyone, and no one has ever needed me."

Ruki paused for a moment, eyes looking up to the sky as she was obviously thinking. "Nobody has ever said it to me either," she said approaching the door. "I live here too, remember?"

"So that is the purpose of this place...? We're supposed to live here?" Kohaku says, opening the door on the other side of Ruki and holding it for her to go in. He was thinking of turning around to leave after she went into the mansion.

Ruki paused, looking at the boy. He was acting suspicious. "We're here to get better, or some such. Until we do, we're supposed to stay here. While we're staying here, we're living here, right?"

"Hmm... I would rather live outside. There is no one here to even tell us where we are supposed to go. I am not going to wait for them the whole time. I see no point of this place if no one is ever going to do anything to help us get better. How do we get better if there is nothing to get better? I can live just fine outside... I don't care if it snowed on my head, even." Kohaku says.

Ruki felt nervous about this stranger. He might get her in trouble! But if she tried to sway him, it was always possible he could hurt her. What if that's what he really wanted, was to get her alone and hurt her?! She closed her eyes tightly, clenching her fists close to her body. She was torn so many ways, and for once nobody was there to lead her in a direction.

Kohaku was able to sense the fear pretty easily. "You're just like the rest, no one in my life has always liked me. Always thinking I'd harm. You see why I don't belong in there?" Kohaku says to Ruki. He starts walking away, not acknowledging whether she was in the door way or not. He let go of the handle walking away from the building.
