Chapter One

Ty stood outside. Ellen seemed to flutter about, and he simply watched her. Ellen had decided to wear her short, or in Kodey's words, a shirt that barely went down far enough to cover her waist. But tonight was a track that wouldn't end. The Vampire client hadn't shown. Ty and Ellen, along with Norton, who prefered his middle name Chase, was a werewolf. Young and bold, his father lead the pack that housed themselves in the town. He always took to stride when he could, brimming with overconfidence. "Chase, your gonna be killed one of these days.", Ty said, and Chase seemed to merely brush him off. "Nah, I'm practically old enough to run the pack, however my old man doesn't seem too willing to step down for me.", Chase replied, ferally he seemed able, but calm would never fit him. Ellen decided it was time. "Look, here he comes now.", she annouced, pointing at the approching goth. Ty stood his ground, staring at Chase, the eagerness in his eyes to change and rip the vampire apart. The vampire seemed to almost float across as he approched, black hair combed back, and mixed with an obvious hard gel. Ty seemed to grab at his nose. "It's hard to think the old gang used to be all human.", Ty said, as Oziel sighed. "I'm sorry I got bite, like Chase did. We aren't all experts at fighting off the supernatural world.", Oziel joked. Ellen seemed infatuated with him, only because ever since he was bitten, he just looked better to her. "Now.", Ty began, "Onto the business at hand..."

Kodey rolled over on his bed. Being blessed as the child of light, titled, Prodigal Son, it just wasn't easy. It was too early, and the knock at his door signaled his parents wanted him up. "Hey, Kodey Melvi--", his father began but, Kodey was already up. "Yeah dad, I know, the Council wants to see me.", he sad, and his dad only nodded. "I hope you and Dave can make it there safely, because me and your mother have our own business.", he said, disappearing down the stairs. It was hard, being pure of heart and such when you lied to your parents about your sexuality. Him and Dave had been best buds for...well, since they met. They trained together, before becoming much more and vowing to never speak anything but sweet nothings whenever they could. They both felt that, they could tarnish Kodey's family name. If having a dirty lie meant saving honour, then they had agreed to do so. Kodey flew down the stairs, riding the railing and taking Dave to the ground. "Hey!", Dave said as he got up, picking Kodey up off the floor. Kodey admired Dave. He wasn't the best combination of brain and brawn, mostly just brawn. Kodey was the most balanced of their age group, making him their iconic leader. He had fame in both worlds, upper and under. "So, Ty and Ellen said they'd meet with Chase and Oziel about the war between the werewolves and the vampires, right?", Dave asked, as Kodey nodded. "They promised me so I could meet with the Council of Five, because they know it's not everyday I'm called.", he said. "And until I return, Tianna is in-charge, and they know that.", Kodey said. Dave smiled. "Tianna's a good choice, she's smooth when it comes to talking, and she's so politically smart, that I wont' be surprised when you and her join the Council.", Dave said, but Kodey shook his head. "We don't want to join them, we're aiming for the Circle, after all, Tianna isn't like most girls, she can handle power.", he said, reminding Dave how she beat him. "She's gotton the better of all of us, even me, and I'm wondering why we don't her alone handling the war, but she said Ty and Ellen should.", Kodey said. "C'mon, the flights gonna be a while, let's get there.", Kodey said as he and Dave left.

Tianna had been eager, maybe a little less than she hoped, but she got a chance to handle their group. With Kodey and Dave out of the country, and Ellen and Ty with Chase and Oziel, Tianna looked to the youngest member, Zadok. "I'm glad your here Zadok, I want you, to go and get me something from the library in the building, the book on summoning and astral projection.", Tianna said, and Zadok obliged. "Take your time, I know how, Ephraim can be, always prying into anything he can.", she said, Zadok nodding and leaving the room.

Oziel smiled slyly. "I'm the leader of my children, I have no quarrel with that ruffian Chase unless he chooses to, I have nothing against my friends, or the laws of the underworld.', he said, offering his word. Chase mocked him. Ellen slapped Chase's wrist. Even Ty was surprised. "Geez, he's just bored, so am I.", Ty said. "Normally Kodey has us training Zadok, but because Tianna's in charge she wants this done while Kodey's away.", he said with a sigh. Chase scoffed. "I'm leaving now, the werewolves refuse on the blood of my family.", Chase said, storming off abruptly. "That was forsaw, his kind doesn't agree with mine and vice versa, maybe if Tianna had came...", Oziel said. Ellen shook her head. 'Only one person could handle Chase, and that was Seraiah, and he left our order after the werewolves were slain. He felt Chase's family, and the werewolves were a second family. To hear them all slautered--", she started as Oziel cut in. "--By the hellspawned demons summoned by Perce, and yet still he lives." Oziel was displeased. "The vampire, the children of the night, started their war. And yet the warlock lives through spells.", Oziel finished. "Ty, Ellen, please tell Tianna about this.", Oziel said as he prayed with them, before leaving. "Ty, maybe we could go to the local club.", Ellen suggested. "I'm game, it beats talking to Ephraim or Tianna.", he said.

Tonight definetely wasn't normal. Zadok stood in the library with the book. Ephraim didn't question why he had the book. He only said something about Tianna calling ahead of time to take it out. He was about to leave when Perce entered. He looked a little to young today. But then again, nobody would look that good when they've aged beyond recognition. Maybe his spells are just too powerful, Zadok thought as he slipped by him. Ephraim stopped Zadok. "Send my regards to Tianna.", he said, Zadok nodding. Ephraim was one scary dude, at least Zadok thought so. Most of the order here were 20 and under, but Ephraim was one person who would not die the way a mortal would. He was a living angel, banished to the human world to serve the order. As Zadok slipped out, Perce left too.

Zadok was against the wall, held in place, coughing out blood. Tianna was clutching onto him. Even Ephraim was there, trying to heal the neck wound that would certainly kill Zadok. He then felt the coolness of a hospital bed. Tianna was crying? Zadok thought that away. His older sister was strong, smart, and could talk anyone out of anything. But crying was something she did when someone died. Was he dead? Wait, now I remember, he thought as his eyes opened. "Zadok, it's good to see your awake.", Seraiah said. Seraiah just happened to be their older brother. He was blessed like Kodey, only Seraiah wanted a normal life away from it all. He had the lips of the fairy folk, weaving harmful truths, and was a better fighting than Dave. He was an older version of Kodey that valued his life. Seraiah was engaged and already had twins. To him, his life couldn't get any better. But it could get worse. "Your lucky Tianna and Ephraim found you like this, because Ty and Ellen are out at a local club, and Kodey and Dave are out of town. I'm sure Oziel or Chase would've protected you with their lives, but why did Perce attack you?", Seraiah asked, though, he knew the answer. "He has the Summoning book, which means I'll be re-marking myself.", Seraiah said. Everyone in the room was shocked. "I'll talk to Kodey about this first....."


"Kodey, it's Seraiah, Zadok was attacked by Perce, and he stole a book, the Summoning book." Kodey gasped through his cell phone. "No no no, Dave, did you hear that!?", Kodey asked Dave. "Yeah.", he said in a gruff voice. Since Seraiah was alone, he was going to be honest. "I know you and Dave are dating, I'm not stupid, I understand, as long as you two are in love, you have the angel's blessing.", Seraiah said. "I'm glad you understand our situation, but yes, you have my concent to take over until the situation ends, just don't get killed, you have a wife and two kids, as well as Tianna and Zadok.", Kodey said. "Use Tianna's knowledge, along with Ty's scouting abilities and Ellen's magic, and Oziel and Chase will assist because it's you, returning.", kodey said. He giggled through the phone. "I gotta go, the fun's about to start.", Kodey said as Seraiah hung up.

Kodey sat on the bed after he set the phone down. Nervously, he hugged onto a pillow and not Dave. "Hey, Kodey, is something wrong?", Dave asked Kodey as Kodey nodded. "Oh, your worried Seraiah is rusty and will be killed by Perce, but Kodey, the guy practically taught all of us, hell, he will be rusty, but the markings will protect him.", Dave said, embracing Kodey, of whom affectionately kissed back. "Now.....let's get those pants off....", Dave said as Kodey only gasped with excitement.

Oziel hissed as he eyed Perce. "You dare kidnap me?", he exclaimed to Perce, who held the book up so tauntingly. "You were once a hunter, but you were bitten by a downworlder and transformed, and your lead them now.", Perce said. "I kidnapped you to tell you that if your kind doesn't cooperate with my kind, they shall be dire consequences.", Perce said as he released the vampire. "I also know about your "unique" ability as a vampire."< Perce said before Oziel fled.

Chase sat in the hospital room, staring at Zodak. "Hey, Chase, don't get so worked up--", he started, before Chase raised his hand. "Perce is as good as dead, I'll rip him apart with my bare teeth if I need to get revenge.", he said, drooling slightly. Zodak looked at him. "Your scaring me Chase...", he said, and Chase realised what he just promised. "I'm sorry Zodak, I'm just so mad right now.", he said.
