Personality:
Ruki is a special case, with an odd assortment of disorders that seem to almost contradict each other. This has led some to believe she's only acting out for attention but she really can't help it. Her PPD causes her to be wary of others, and suspicious. It generally makes her very isolated, and yet her DPD causes her to seek out others. She's very sensitive to any sort of criticism or rejection.

She often doesn't voice any disagreements she has, for fear of disapproval from the group. She also has troubles making any decisions on her own. Even so, she has troubles working with others in groups, and often believes they have hidden motives against her. She can become easily detached and hostile, but will break down after a break up in a relationship.

Her touch of schizophrenia doesn't make any of it easier. It especially touches on her PPD, making her more paranoid in one of her fits.

History:
For many years, Ruki seemed to simply be troubled. She wouldn't take personal responsibility for anything and made up seeing things that just weren't there. Her adoptive parents assumed she was just acting out for more attention until she was about 10. She started clawing her own skin off in fears of there being things crawling beneath it. Not to mention her irrational fears about everyone around her. She was sure the girl next door wanted to steal her toys, and the boy down the road was going to rape her.

These were obviously ridiculous things for a ten year old to think. They tried controlling the fits with medication, which seemed to work decently for a few years, until she seemed to build up a tolerance to whatever they were using. When she attacked another girl screaming something about trying to steal her voice, sending the girl to the E.R., they decided an intervention was in order. They received a pamphlet in the mail for Lyle Mansion Mental Institute, and after doing a bit of research sent her away. Ruki still doesn't know what she is, as she's never fully changed while conscious.
